Westlake Student Council is in the business of making a difference. Whether it be through a drive, project, or event, Westlake Student Council is dedicated to improving the community it's apart of. Not only does Student Council make an impact in the community, but it also cultivate leadership in each of its members.

FAQs
Membership applications for General Council (GenCo) are currently closed. Application for GenCo membership is done on annual basis. At the beginning of each school year, all Westlake High School students have the opportunity to join by completing our application and obtaining 30 signatures from fellow classmates who support their application. To retain membership, GenCo members must meet the expected number of points (to learn more about points, please consult the points page If a GenCo member meets the point requirements, he/she will have the option to apply for the Executive Board (EB), which works closely with the officers to plan and execute Student Council activities. EB applications, which are opened each Spring, require a letter of intent and an interview. In addition, during the Spring, any Westlake High School student may run for a class officer position (President, Vice President, or Representative at Large). In order to run, students need to fill out an application and acquire several teacher recommendations.
Westlake Student Council has point requirements and incentives for General Council members who meet them to encourage involvement within our school and community. Find out more at our points page.
